Bitz & Piecez Grand Opening: Here's something worth the road trip to Rochester for sewists and vintage fabric fans: a new fabric shop and sewing supply store specializing in primarily vintage and deadstock fabrics. Dubbed Bitz & Piecez, the shop is the brainchild of Brooke Burch, fashion designer and owner of Rochester vintage shop Vintage Rack. In addition to fabric, there will also be notions, sewing supplies and vintage homewares. The need for an affordable, well-organized option for materials has never been stronger with JoAnn Fabrics’ recent closure, and even better—vintage fabrics are good for the planet, high quality and unique. Forgotten Star Summer Market: Forgotten Star continues its summer market season with over 30 local vendors taking over the parking lot for a day of shopping, skateboarding and summer vibes. Hopkins Raspberry Festival: Marketplace Fair: A Hopkins tradition since 1935, the Raspberry Festival brings the community together to celebrate local pride and small businesses. As part of the week-long festivities, Saturday’s Marketplace Fair transforms Hopkins’ historic Mainstreet into a bustling hub with over 300 vendors offering crafts, art, woodwork, clothing and more, plus food and beverages. Twin Cities Vintage Flea: The team behind Totally Rad Vintage Fest launches a new concept this weekend with the debut of Twin Cities Vintage Flea, a free pop-up market bringing retro treasures to the North Loop Green each month all summer long. Mill City Farmers Market: Amidst the Twin Cities’ plethora of farmers markets, Mill City Farmers Market stands out for its idyllic location at the Mill City Museum and its emphasis on building a local, sustainable and organic food economy. 316 Vintage Vendorfest: South Minneapolis true vintage shop 316 Vintage will be joined by a group of guest vintage sellers on the sidewalk for outdoor market sidewalk series. Homecoming: Objects of Origin: Homecoming features the sculptural lighting and ceramic works of Minnesota-born artist Jeremy R. Anderson. It’s a pretty big deal—The Business of Home just published an extensive article highlighting the show. Inspired by rural Midwestern forms, this 21-piece collection reimagines silos, grain bins and water towers as vessels for memory and quiet storytelling. His work invites viewers to reflect on the beauty of the vernacular—rooted, reverent and entirely one-of-a-kind. Moss House: Moss House is a new, immersive art space in downtown Minneapolis with multiple themed rooms for exploration and Instagram-ready photo ops.
